Intellectual property rights

The content of this site, including trademarks, logos, designs, data, product or company names, texts, photographs, images, sounds, etc. are protected by intellectual rights and belong to The House of Agroecology ASBL or to third party rights holders.

No one is authorized to reproduce, exploit, distribute or use them for any reason whatsoever, even partially.
Any copy and use of elements of the site will be automatically prosecuted and sanctioned.

The information on the website is of a general nature. It is not adapted to personal or specific circumstances, and therefore cannot be considered as personal, professional or legal advice to the user.

This site is governed by current Belgian law. Only the courts of the judicial district of the head office of The House of Agroecology non-profit organization have jurisdiction in the event of a dispute.

At The House of Agroecology ASBL, we attach great importance to your privacy and confidentiality, which is why we treat your data with the greatest care and want to inform you as best we can.

In addition, in accordance with the Belgian law of December 8, 1992 relating to the protection of privacy with regard to the processing of personal data until May 25, 2018 and in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and any other law applicable after May 25, 2018:

1. What data do we collect when you use our website ?

The data collected is of two types:

1. Directly identifiable data,that is, they can be used to identify you specifically. This data only concerns that provided by the user himself when using our services :

    • Contact forms on the site: This data is only kept in the context of an email exchange. If the contact results in a collaboration with The House of Agroecology ASBL, this data is kept in the address book of The House of Agroecology non-profit organization for customer management purposes.

 

    • Blog article comment forms: This data is kept in the site's database until the user requests the deletion of the comment he has posted on this site.

 

    • Newsletter registration forms: These data are kept in a database at the emailing provider of the non-profit organization The House of Agroecology, only for the purpose of sending the newsletter and exchanging emails. They are kept until the user unsubscribes from the newsletter. (Unsubscribe possible at the bottom of each newsletter)

 

    • Account creation forms to order and pay for product(s) from the eshop: This data is used as part of order management and kept for customer management and order tracking purposes.

 

    • Questionnaires for reservations, exchanges of information and making appointments: This data is only kept in the context of an exchange of emails. If the contact results in a collaboration with the non-profit organization The House of Agroecology, this data is kept in the address book of The House of Agroecology for customer management purposes.

 

2. “Non-personally identifiable” data, meaning that it concerns you, but cannot be used to specifically identify you:

- The IP address which is recorded when visiting the site, but which is replaced with each new connection and must be combined with other third-party information to identify you.
- Cookies (see aslo the cookie use policy in detail).

2. How do we collect this data ?

During any interaction you may have with our website (owned by The House of Agroecology ASBL), we collect information in two possible ways :

1. You give us your data directly :

    • By contacting us via the contact forms on the site.

 

    • By leaving a comment via the blog article comment forms.

 

    • By subscribing to the newsletter via the dedicated registration forms.

 

    • By placing an order or making a payment on the eshop via the account creation forms.

 

    • By answering questions, a survey, or making an appointment via questionnaires for reservations, exchange of information and making appointments.

 

2. The data is collected automatically during your visit:
These are functional and/or statistical and marketing cookies that you have authorized.

The House of Agroecology non-profit association collects and processes customers' personal data for different purposes:

    • Comment forms for blog articles: This data is kept for the purpose of identifying the author of a comment and being able to exchange information with this user.

    • Account creation forms to order and pay for product(s) from the eshop: This data is used as part of order management and kept for customer management and order tracking purposes.

 

    • Questionnaires for reservations, exchanges of information and making appointments: This data is only kept in the context of an exchange of emails. (Exchange of information, collaboration, etc.)

 

2. “Non-personally identifiable” data (IP address and cookies) is used to make the site work optimally, based on your preferences.

4. Where is the data stored and for how long ?

The data is stored on WP Engine servers, and is processed by the functionalities made available by the Cobea cooperative (owners and manager of WP Engine hosting of this site) in Belgium.
They will be kept for the period necessary to meet legal requirements.

This is data collected by:

    • Contact forms on the site: If the contact results in a collaboration with The House of Agroecology ASBL, this data is kept in the address book of The House of Agroecology ASBL for customer management purposes.
    • Blog article comment forms: This data is kept in the site's database until the user requests the deletion of the comment he has posted on this site.

 

    • Data collected by newsletter subscription forms: This data is kept in a database at the emailing provider Brevo. They are kept until the user unsubscribes from the newsletter. (Unsubscribe possible at the bottom of each newsletter)

 

    • Account creation forms to order and pay for product(s) from the eshop: These data are kept for customer management purposes, order tracking and accounting, until the user requests deletion.

 

    • Questionnaires for reservations, exchanges of information and making appointments: If the contact results in a collaboration with the non-profit organization The House of Agroecology, this data is kept in the address book of The House of Agroecology ASBL at for customer management purposes.

 

5. Who do we share this data with ?

If this is necessary for the achievement of the objectives set, the customer's personal data will be shared within the European Economic Area with other structures which are directly or indirectly linked to The House of Agroecology asbl or to any other partner of The House of Agroecology asbl.

The House of Agroecology non-profit organization guarantees that these beneficiaries take the necessary technical and organizational measures to protect personal data.

This is data collected by:

    • Account creation forms to order and pay for product(s) from the eshop:
      We share your information externally with our main service providers. This concerns the provider of the payment and delivery system chosen by you.
      We may also share this data with our accounting partner as part of the proper maintenance of our accounts.
      Finally, we also share this data when we are required to comply with a legal request in your country if you purchase a product from a country other than Belgium.

 

External sharing with partners other than these service providers is only done when we have your consent to do so. This includes our marketing partners and social media partners.

6. How do we protect your data in our possession ?

While your information is in our possession, we keep it all up to date and protect it using appropriate security features, to prevent unauthorized access to this information.

7. What choices and options do you have to control your data ?

The customer has the right at any time to consult his personal data and can (have) them rectified if they are incorrect or incomplete, have them deleted, limit their processing and oppose the processing of personal data concerning him , including profiling based on these provisions.
The customer further has the right to obtain a copy (in a structured, common and machine-readable format) of his personal data and to have the personal data sent to another company.

In order to exercise the aforementioned rights, the customer is asked :

    • to adapt the parameters of their customer account themselves

8. What we will never do with your data ?

We will never sell your information without your consent.

We will not share your information with any third party advertiser or ad networks: We do not currently display ads from any third party advertisers on our website, and even if we did, we refuse to share your personally identifiable information with no third-party advertisers or advertising networks.
